Greek Catholic Church In Kuwait Loses Historical Records Due To Recent Rains

Archimandrite Boutros Gharib, head of the local Greek Catholic Church lamented the church, which underwent renovation only a year ago was flooded due to the recent rains leading to serious property damage, reports Al-Rai daily.

He pointed out that the church located in Salwa area was submerged by floodwaters reaching over 50 centimeters and the damage covered furnishings and wood but the most serious damage was loss of archive data collected over the last 60 years, indicating the archives is in the basement and no copy was saved elsewhere
