Grand Ceremony For The Opening Of Jaber Al-ahmad International Stadium

Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said on Monday a big sports event would be held at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium by year-end at the behest of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince.

Speaking to KUNA on the sidelines of a customary cabinet meeting, the minister said: "We are planning to hold a sports event at Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium by year-end."

A ministerial committee, chaired by First Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah inspected on Sunday the international stadium, which fulfills high specifications and technology and is supplied with sophisticated equipment, facilities and safety and security systems. The committee said a grand ceremony would be organized for the opening of the Kuwaiti stadium.

The committee comprises Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Sheikh Mohammad Al-Abdullah Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Director-General of the Public Authority for Sports Sheikh Ahmad Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah and senior authority officials.
