‘get Moh, Moi Nod For Gatherings’

17 May 2021 Kuwait

No gatherings or rallies are allowed without the approval of the Ministry of Health and permission from the Ministry of Interior, reports Al-Anba daily quoting a high-ranking security source.

The same source said it is forbidden to organize gatherings without first obtaining a permit from the Ministry of Health and a license from the Ministry of Interior.

The source said expatriates arrested for violating the law will be administratively deported from the country and Kuwaitis face legal measures including imprisonment.

Meanwhile, the daily added the security forces aborted a car rally that was ‘organized’ in solidarity with the Palestinians in support of their steadfastness in the face of the Zionist occupation forces.

The rally started from the American University along the Arabian Gulf Street and moved to the Al-Irada Square, during which the participants expressed their rejection of the bombing and the assault on the Palestinian people, affirming their support those who remain put at the Al-Aqsa Mosque who face the machinery of oppression and killing.

The Ministry of Interior closed the seafronts opposite the American University and Marina Mall to prevent gatherings, and also seized a number of vehicles for disrupting traffic during the march.

The reason why the Ministry of the Interior closed the parking lots, public squares and seafronts near the Marina Mall and the American University was because the organizers did not obtain a license and disrupted traffic.

The decision to close also comes to confirm the keenness of the ministry to implement the health requirements.
