Gcc Man To Smuggle 99 Cartons Of Cigarettes Into Saudi Arabia Foiled

Customs officers at the Nuwaiseeb border post foiled the attempt of a GCC man to smuggle 99 cartons of cigarettes in his SUV, reports Al-Anba daily. During interrogation the man admitted to coming to Kuwait to smuggle cigarettes into the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and sell for profit. The suspect and the contraband were sent to concerned authorities.

Meanwhile, earlier, a GCC national was arrested at Nuwaiseeb border checkpoint for attempting to smuggle 250 cartons of cigarette packs out of the country, reports Al-Seyassah daily. According to sources, customs officers at the border checkpoint were checking the vehicles passing through the checkpoint and managed to find the cigarette packs in one of the vehicles driven by a GCC national. He was arrested and referred with the cigarette packs to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action.
