Gcc Citizen Arrested For Attempting To Smuggle Large Quantity Of Drugs

Customs officers manning the Abdali border crossing have foiled the attempt of a GCC citizen to smuggle large quantities of drugs into the country, reports Al-Anba daily.

The daily said the truck driver came from a neighboring country and the drugs were hidden under the toilet of the bus.

The arrest came after the customs officers received a tip off from an unidentified source that a bus coming from a neighboring country will be attempting to smuggle drugs into the country. Following this a directive was issued to thoroughly inspect the bus with the help of advanced technology. The suspect and the contraband have been referred to the concerned authorities.
