Full Refund Of Air Tickets During December 21 To January 1

The Directorate General of Civil Aviation issued a circular to all airlines and travel and tourism agencies operating in the State of Kuwait stating that the traveler has the right to request the refund of the value of travel tickets, hotel reservations and other tourism services that were canceled from the date of December 21, 2020 until the end of January 1, 2021, regardless of the conditions of the reservation.

According to Al-Qabas daily report, the DGCA circular states that whether the passenger booked the ticket as refundable or non-refundable, he have the right for refund without deducting any amount. The traveler is also entitled to request the refund of the amount in cash or through a credit card, or to have available balance for a period of one year from the date of this circular.

It also noted that the travel and tourism offices can deduct 10 dinars only as service charge for each services for the period referred to above.

During December 21, 2020 to January 1, 2021, The Kuwait international airport was closed for all commercial operations as the new mutated strain of Corona virus was spread in UK.
