Fuel Prices Will Not Be Increased In Kuwait

In light of the fact that the current prices are among the lowest in the world, Al-Anba daily reports that the government does not intend to increase fuel prices in order to match international prices.

Sources say the Government Subsidy Review Committee, headed by the Ministry of Finance, does not plan to discuss fuel price increases. According to him, the committee submits its recommendations and decisions to the Council of Ministers; reviews market conditions to compare them with subsidy values; and evaluates subsidies in order to determine whether they should be increased, reduced, or granted to specific groups.
