From Japan Expansionism To Terrorism From Tehran

08 August 2018 Article

THE world has reached the point of choosing between accepting continuity of the terror approach of the Iranian regime or coping with the United States which is seeking to change the behavior of the Tehran leadership and prevent them from repeating the Japanese experiment in the interval phase between World War I and II when Tokyo followed an expansionism policy.

At the time, Japan occupied parts of China, the Philippines and Korea where its army committed atrocities and crimes against humanity. It was one of the factors which prompted allies in 1945 to agree on forcing Japan to accept humiliating surrender when the United States dropped two nuclear bombs on Nagasaki and Hiroshima.

There are similarities between the Japanese and Iranian experiments in the hierarchy of decision-making. In the former, the emperor was the final decision maker; and in the latter, there is the Republican Guard.

In August 1945, defeat brought down the emperor from the throne when US Army Commander in Chief in the Pacific General Douglas MacArthur forced the emperor to speak to his people through the public announcement of his acceptance of surrendering conditions. With that broadcast, the Japanese got rid of one of the worst periods in their history when the empire killed, intervened in the affairs of other countries, and exploited other people. It was an era when the world witnessed suicide bombing operations, starting with the attack on Pearl Harbor Port which pulled the United States to war.

In contrast, recently and since 1979, the Iranian Mullah regime set in motion the so-called ‘Exporting Revolution’ as the basis of its policy. Instead of expanding directly through its military forces, Tehran has opted to incubate terror gangs since 1982 — starting from Lebanon and passing through Iraq, Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain up to Yemen and Syria. Terror gangs committed bloody massacres against innocent people through bomb attacks, assassinations and hijacking of planes. They were the main architects in the Sept 11, 2001 attacks which took the lives of about 3,000 Americans.

Despite all this, the world has given way for Tehran to change its policies, but the latter regarded these chances as a sign of weakness on the part of the international community; thereby encouraging itself to proceed with the aggressive expansion and political blackmail that led to a deficient deal with six countries. There were a lot of flaws in the deal which enabled Tehran to come back to the international arena without being held accountable for its action and crimes.

The White House administration realized this fact early; prompting it to review the deal, withdraw from the deal, and tighten sanctions on Tehran so as not to reach a day when it sees itself facing a new nuclear goblin controlled by a ruling junta driven by evil and expansionism.

We can say that Iran entered the phase of a real test in facing its fate after 39 years of impunity. For the world not to relive the Hiroshima experiment, the American option is welcomed by most countries seeking peace and stability, especially in the region. It is an alternative to a war which might develop into usage of weapons of mass destruction.

Iran does not possess the Japanese economic, industrial and military capabilities which were prevalent in World War II. The Republic Guide does not enjoy absolute populace obedience that Japanese Emperor Hirohito enjoyed. Therefore, the escalating revolution has no end, but it has one result — the fall of the Mullah regime which has impoverished its people to achieve the illusion of an outdated expansionism.
