Four Nabbed For Leaking Documents, Case Files
The General Department of Public Relations and Security Media at the Ministry of Interior stated as part of efforts exerted by the Criminal Security Sector personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) have arrested four Arabs for photographing and leaking documents and case files, reports Al-Anba daily.
Three of these men are court employees and other working for a lawyer’s office. They are charged with receiving bribe to get copies of documents. They were allegedly photographing and selling case files for money – cases which were being heard by courts. After intensive investigations and taking all necessary legal measures, the 4 men were caught in the act during a secret operation.
They were allegedly caught red-handed handing over copies of case files and receiving money from a police agent who paid the men in marked police currency. A security source said the entire process has been documented.
During interrogation by the Public Prosecution the men have reportedly confessed to charges that have been filed against them. In the meantime, the Ministry of Justice has thanked the Minister of Interior Sheikh Thamer Al-Ali and the Criminal Security Sector of the ministry for their efforts to arrest the four men.
In a press statement, the Ministry of Justice confirmed the success of coordination with the Ministry of Interior to combat all forms of corruption and abuse of the law, expressing its rejection of such illegal actions. The ministry indicated that the Minister of Justice Dr. Nawaf Saud Al-Yaseen, on Thursday, issued a ministerial decision obliging all sectors and departments of the ministry to implement the Civil Service Commission’s decision regarding the rules and procedures for Kuwaitizing government jobs.
The ministry added that the decision of Minister Dr. Al-Yaseen obliges the sectors in the ministry to provide the administrative and financial affairs sector with the names and data of the employees covered by the replacement policy within a week based on his belief in the necessity of reforms in the Ministry of Justice and replacing expatriates with national workforce as it is one of the sensitive government agencies entrusted with the secrets of people and their lawsuits.
