Former Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain Dies, Aged 80

Former Pakistan President Mamnoon Hussain passed away on Wednesday after brief illness.

He was suffering from cancer and had been under treatment at a local hospital for past two weeks.

Hussain was the 12th president of Pakistan, who served from 2013 to 2018 during the tenure of the PML-N.

Deeply shocked and grieved to hear that President Mamnoon Hussain has passed away. What an epitome of grace, humility & nobility he was! Pakistan has lost a great public servant and PMLN an elderly statesman. My hearfelt condolences go to his family!

Pakistan's Minister for Information and Broadcasting Chaudhry Fawad Hussain has expressed deep grief and sorrow over the demise of the former President.

Minister of State for Information and Broadcasting Farrukh Habib also expressed deep grief and sorrow over the sad demise of Hussain.
