Former Mp Nasser Al-duwailah Sentenced To 6 Mnts Prison With Kd 2000 Fine For Abusing Uae

The Court of Appeals has overturned the verdict of the lower court and has sentenced the former MP Nasser Al-Duwailah, to 6 months in prison with hard labor and a KD 2,000 fine for abusing the sisterly country United Arab Emirates (UAE), reports Al-Seyassah daily.

The lower court had earlier found the man innocent and released him. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs had filed a complaint against Al-Duwailah, requesting that the accused be referred to trial and given maximum punishment for abusing the UAE which could damage the diplomatic relations between the GCC member countries.
