Flights To India Awaiting Final Approval

Special charter flights to Indian destinations are expected soon with the signing of the Transport Bubble between the two countries, a reliable source disclosed to The Times, Kuwait.

It is expected that both Jazeera and Kuwait Airways will be permitted to fly upto 500 passengers daily to and fro (if permissionis granted) on a reciprocal basis with Indian carriers.

While the Indian carriers will need Kuwait DGCA approval the same will apply for Kuwait carriers who will need the approval of India’s DGCA. 15 destinations in India have been identified for approval for the carriers which includes Gaya, Vijaywada, Kochi, Kozikhode, Mumbai, Bangalore, Chennai, Amritsar, Mangalore, New Delhi, Thiruvantapuram, Kannur, Jaipur, Hyderabad & Ahmedabad.

Travel criteria from Kuwait to India will include stranded Indian nationals and Kuwaiti nationals who are eligible to enter India as per ministry of home affairs guidelines dated June 30, 2020

While travel criteria from India to Kuwait will also include Kuwaiti nationals and Indian nationals as per Ministry of Home Affairs guideline dated July 1, 2020.

Tickets can also be sold through agents and website of the carrier.

Meanwhile, India has granted access to Kuwaiti carriers for all cargo flights to India.
