The Court of Cassation has sentenced five individuals, who are accused of financing the banned organization “ISIS” and buying weapons with the money donated to help the Syrian people, to imprisonment of various terms, reports Al-Qabas daily. The court sentenced a Lebanese defendant to 15 years in prison, and two other expatriates and a Kuwaiti citizen to ten-year imprisonment after convicting them of supplying missiles and weapons to ISIS.

The security agencies had arrested the Lebanese defendant after discovering that his role was to facilitate logistics for fighters’ transportation and finances. He operated a website and used it to support the terrorist organization ISIS, and handled commercial deals to buy FN-6 missiles for the benefit of that organization. He admitted that he had concluded deals to buy weapons and missiles of the type “FN-6” and that he was in constant contact with the leaders of ISIS in Syria.
