Female Teachers' Housing Will Cost 3 Million Dinars
In various educational areas, the Ministry of Finance granted approval to the Ministry of Education's request to extend lease contracts for teachers' housing for one year. Al-Qabas reports that 3,205,440 dinars have been approved for this extension, which covers 23 buildings.
Upon request from the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Finance has committed to fulfilling the requirements within the allocated amount, ensuring compliance with the Central Agency for Public Tenders (CAPT) Law.
According to the ministry, approvals are required from the Audit Bureau, Fatwa and Legislation Department, and CAPT. Maintenance is the owner's responsibility, and furniture should meet standard specifications.
Moreover, the Finance Ministry has approved a one-year contract renewal for 20 private Arab, model, and foreign schools on state property. Moreover, there is no objection to renewing licenses for private schools whose contracts have expired, also for one year, pending the completion of contract renewal negotiations.
As part of its “Hawally Educational Center” project, the Ministry of Education has applied for Finance's approval for the design, licensing, implementation, and construction of buildings and facilities, including classrooms and related amenities, in a turnkey manner. A cost of 975,000 dinars for 365 days is estimated for this project. Finance has sought further details on the project to facilitate a comprehensive study and appropriate decision-making.
Undersecretary of Education Osama Al-Sultan stressed the importance of maintaining the general appearance of existing flags at all educational institutions. He urged regular replacement of damaged flags to ensure a positive appearance.
Anwar Al-Hamdan, Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Public Education, has instructed general directors of educational, religious, and special education regions to coordinate with school principals on washing and cleaning water tanks. Furthermore, they must replace water cooler filters to maintain water quality and ensure the well-being of students, educators, and administrative staff.
