Female Medical Staff By Far Will Outdo Male Counterparts In Future

The women students continue to dominate their male counterparts at the Kuwait University where the ratio is 2:3 for women and 1:3 for male students.

The Al-Qabas quoting university sources said the percentage of female students increased during the first semester of the current academic year to 73 percent compared to only 27 for male students, which confirms that women by far outdo their male counterparts. The ratio of female students in medical specialties colleges is 90 percent.

The figures show that the percentage of female students in the faculties of allied medical sciences and pharmacy is 94%, and in dentistry 93%, compared to only 6% and 7% for males in these two specialties respectively.

In the College of Public Health, the percentage of girl students was 91%, and in medicine, 78%, they also constituted the majority in the Faculties of Architecture.

On the ground, these figures will reflect on the labor market, as it appears from the figures that the female workforce will be a majority in some professions and specializations, such as pharmacy, dentistry, and medical technical specializations, in addition to a large number of women in teaching and architecture professions.
