Father Gets Custody Of Kids

The Family Circuit of the Court of Appeals revoked the verdict issued by the Court of First Instance which granted a Kuwaiti woman in her 50s the custody of her children including her disabled son, and instead granted the custody to the father. Representing the children’s father, Lawyer Ina’am Haidar explained that her client and his ex-wife have three children including two minor girls and a 31-yearold son who is disabled and requires female care. However, his mother did not provide adequate care for the son, and instead it was his father who cared about him and did everything to provide all means of comfort for his son. Lawyer Haidar stressed that the verdict of the Court of First Instance is in violation of the law, insisting that the mother is solely interested in receiving the disability allowance offered to her son by the Public Authority for Disabled Affairs. She revealed that the mother spends long hours away from home, which proves her inefficiency in caring for her children.
