Farwaniya Securitymen Arrested 27 Violators Of Residency Law And Five Wanted Individuals
Farwaniya securitymen arrested 27 violators of residency law and five wanted individuals during security campaigns. According to security sources, Farwaniya Security Director Major General Saleh Al-Enezi formed a team of securitymen to launch the security campaigns throughout the governorate. During these campaigns, securitymen set up security checkpoints and arrested at these checkpoints 27 violators of residency law and five individuals who were wanted by law for financial cases.
They were referred to the concerned authorities for necessary legal action. More of such campaigns will be carried out in all areas of the governorate. Meanwhile, detectives from the General Department of Residency Affairs apprehended 73 individuals from different nationalities for violating residency law during a campaign at shops in Souk Al-Safafer and Sharq Industrial Area, reports Al-Anba daily.
;Most of the suspects arrested are believed to have absconded from their sponsors since they held Article 20 visas for domestic workers. They admitted working on daily wages but not for their sponsors. Verification of their status revealed they’ve all violated residency law and were wanted for various offenses. They have since been detained, while their sponsors are invited to initiate investigations.
