Expatriates Return To Country; Detailed Procedure Expected Soon

The detailed procedure on the entry mechanism for residents who have received two doses of approved vaccines in the country starting from August 1 will be finalized within days, sources said.

The airport authorities are awaiting an upcoming meeting with Ministry of Health officials to put points on the letters on many issues that need clarification on the detailed procedures, sources said. This include raising of the operational capacity of number of arrivals to the country to 5,000 passengers instead of the current 3,500.

On June 17, the Council of Ministers decided to allow the return of non-Kuwaitis into the country, provided that they receive two doses of the anti-Coronavirus vaccine approved in Kuwait as of Sunday, August 1, 2021. They must have done a PCR test 72 hours before arrival stating that they are free of infection with the Corona virus and the second PCR test during the home quarantine period of seven days after arrival.
