Expatriate Medical Testing Centers Continue To See A Heavy Rush

15 May 2022 Information

While the Ministry of Health works to construct a new medical test facility for ex-pats at the Mishref Exhibition Grounds, the old sites in Shuwaikh and Jahra continue to be overcrowded.

According to the Al-Qabas newspaper, this is making it difficult for citizens to complete their purchases.

The presence of corporate personnel exacerbates the situation since they arrive with a slew of requests, according to the study.

The massive crowds at these centres necessitate the opening of a new centre in Mishref as soon as possible to guarantee that their transactions are completed swiftly and to avoid long lines, which have been a recurring problem at labour examination facilities.

Visitors arrive at the centre early in the morning; say 4:00 a.m., in the hopes of getting their transactions finished despite having scheduled an appointment through the prebooking system. The online appointments are presently unavailable until May 26, according to visitors. The sponsor may be fined if the medical examination is not completed on time. The visitors may become infringers of the residency legislation as a result of the delay, according to the report.
