Expatriate Government Workers Will Receive End-of-service Benefits Soon

07 March 2022 Indemnity

In some government establishments, the start of the Kuwaitization process has made it possible for expatriate government employees to receive their end-of-service benefits after resigning or being terminated.

Some were not paid their end of service benefits for a number of months. An Arabic daily reported that the Ministry of Finance recently deposited funds on the Civil Service Commission's account, and the end-of-service benefits are expected to be distributed on a priority basis starting with those who have served the longest.

As reported by sources, there will be a delay in the disbursement of benefits due to the Kuwaitization policy which will result in a decrease in the number of employees and a reduction in the budget line item for end-of-service benefits allocated by the Civil Service Commission.

According to the Ministry of Finance's circular, the CSC recently requested the Ministry of Finance to include these monies in its budget to assist in accurately estimating the budget for 2022-2023 to address the unclear number of employees the authorities would refer for replacement.
