Excellent Work Rewards Based On Employee Performance, Not Attendance
The authorities concerned with evaluating the performance of employees are preparing a different mechanism to calculate rewards for excellent work in government institutions and ministries to motivate employees to give their best on one hand and rationalizing spending on the other by ensuring rewards are paid only to those who deserve, reports Al-Qabas daily. According to the information, sources said the evaluation will be done by what the authorities called ‘automated system’ and agreed on the need to stop interference by the human element.
According to the new study, the mechanism for calculating employee productivity and entitlement to rewards for excellent work will be based on employee performance, not attendance, but the integrated automated system will calculate the employee productivity. High-ranking sources indicated currently those 80 percent of the evaluation is done by respective direct officials under whom the employee works and the 30 percent is linked to the employee himself to prove attendance (180 working days) but now the employee’s productivity will be calculated according to an approved electronically evaluation mechanism.
The mechanism measures the employee’s production of daily and weekly transactions, for the administrative staff, where a minimum limit will be set for the employee who deserves distinction, while for the technical staff and others it will be based on different method.
