Evaluation Committee Formed For Senior Officials Of The Interior Ministry

The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, Sheikh Ahmed Al-Nawaf, has requested the formation of a committee for evaluating the performance of security officials holding the rank of Major-Generals and Brigadier-Generals in preparation for forcing dozens of them to retire.

A well-informed security source told a local Arabic daily the Interior Ministry refuses to discuss the details or to disclose the names of its members and their job descriptions. The source only stated that the committee would submit the names of senior officers who did not perform their duties up to the mark, and a quick decision would be made whether to refer them directly to the ministry or to retire from their positions.
