Escaped Prisoner Surrenders To Authorities

The Central Prison inmate who had escaped from the bus transporting him back to the prison after being treated at the Farwaniya Hospital is said to have surrendered to the authorities, reports Al- Rai daily.

The daily added, the escapee surrendered on Friday after he sensed there was no escape for him and that the personnel from the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) had tightened the grip for his arrest. The prisoner is a Kuwaiti born in 1988, and has been sentenced to 16 years for possessing an unlicensed firearm and beating an unidentified person and causing him permanent disability
