Emergency Plan At Mubarak Hospital Resolved Crisis During Power Outage In Hawally Area - Moh
The Ministry of Health confirmed that during power outage in Hawally Governorate, Mubarak Al Kabeer Hospital’s workflow was not affected. Inside the ward, ICUs or laboratories carried out operations as emergency plan was activated.
The ministry said in a press statement today that immediately after the power outage the emergency plan was executed and all devices in the wards and in intensive care units ventilators worked according to the support programs. The ministry has been constantly reviewing plans in the presence of doctors, nursing authorities.
The Ministry pointed out that it did not have to transfer any case to the support hospitals, and no sick case was negatively affected by this power outage, as the immediate deal with the outage was according to the highest level of preparation for such circumstances.
The Central Blood Bank was not affected as well during the power outages in some areas of Hawalli Governorate, as the emergency plan was activated to ensure that hospitals are provided with the necessary requirements throughout the day.
The Ministry stressed the constant follow-up of the Minister of Health, Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, to the progress of work inside the hospital, and the presence of the Undersecretary of the Ministry, Dr. Mustafa Redha, the Assistant Undersecretary for Technical Affairs, Dr. Abdul-Rahman Al-Mutairi, the Assistant Undersecretary for Engineering Affairs, Eng. Ibrahim Al-Naham, the Director of the Hawalli Health District Dr. Nadia Al-Jumah, and the Director of the Hospital, Dr. Mahdi Al-Fadhli, to check on the functioning of the work.
The Ministry of Health expressed thanks to all its sectors and to all its technical and administrative teams that dealt during emergency, as well as thanked the Ministry of Electricity and Water who contributed to the restoration of the electrical current within minutes of the outage.
