
The Municipality is conducting inspection tours of private buildings and residential areas housing bachelors, and is implementing procedures to cut the power supply to 12 properties for violating the law against housing bachelors, reported Al Rai daily.
In this context, the director of the Engineering Audit and Follow-up Department, Eng. Ahmed Al-Jasim, explained that the electricity of 12 properties in the Jahra regions had been cut in cooperation with the concerned authorities. He revealed that the inspection teams explored 37 violating properties and legal measures are being taken against them.
He added that inspections are continuing across all buildings that are violating the law, and legal procedures are being initiated to cut off the electricity in cooperation with the concerned authorities in the country based on the instructions of the higher management in the municipality, which closely follows all the legal measures taken by the supervisory teams.
Al-Jassem called on real estate owners to cooperate with the municipal supervisory teams during their field trips to avoid legal accountability.
In turn, the Public Relations Department called on everyone in the event of a complaint related to bachelors living in residential properties to communicate via WhatsApp 24727732 to take legal measures against them.
