Egyptian Prosecutor Ordered The Detention Of A Barber And 2 Prostitutes For Assaulting And Robbing Kuwaiti Student

The Egyptian Public Prosecutor has ordered the detention of a car dealer, a barber and two prostitutes for assaulting and attempting to rob a Kuwaiti student, resident in Zamalek and studying at the Banha University, reports Al-Rai daily.

According to Egyptian security sources from the Qasr al-Nil Police Station a complaint was filed by the resident of Bldg No 33 B which is located on the Abu al- Fada Street in Zamalek. When the securitymen arrived, they found the 21 yr old Kuwaiti student with a cut in the scalp and abrasions in the face. When asked by the police, the student said that when he was on his way to his apartment, he was surprised by two unknown persons and two young women, who assaulted him and hit him with a sharp object and escaped after he screamed for help.

The sources explained the security forces then viewed the CCTV footage from the cameras and saw the suspects escaping in a four-wheel drive. The police then summoned the owner of the vehicle and he said he had leased the car to a car dealer identified only as Mohammad. Police arrested the car dealer and the latter guided police to his accomplices, Ahmed (32 years old barber) and the two girls Habiba (18) and Ala’a (20 years). The four persons have been referred to the authorities.
