Egyptian Dies Protecting His Car From Fire

An Egyptian, who is believed to be in his fifties lost his life when he attempted to protect his vehicle from fire which had engulfed a vehicle which was parked next to his vehicle in the suburb of Farwaniya. According to a security source, the Operations Room of the Ministry of Interior received a report about the fire and immediately securitymen, firefighters and personnel from the Emergency Medical Services affiliated to the Ministry of Health rushed to the site and found two vehicles ablaze, which resulted in the death of an Egyptian who was trying to move his vehicle away from the vehicle which had caught fire. The security sources said he was overcome by the heat and became unconscious and died allegedly of asphyxiation. His corpse has been referred to Forensics.
