Eagles Resolve 17 Military Drills Start Final Week

03 April 2017 Kuwait

Kuwaiti, GCC and Western military forces began Sunday the final week of Eagles Resolve 2017 exercises, aimed at bolstering cooperation among troops participating in the war games.

Kuwait Army Chief of Staff Gen. Mohammad Al-Khodher toured the sites of the exercise and was briefed about role of air-force in attacking hostile targets and ballistic assets of the enemy, the Ministry of Defense said in a statement.

Kuwait Air force, conducting the drills in Adaire' field, carried out a practical exercise on how the Patriot missiles intercept enemy rockets, it said. Gen. Al-Khodher then visited a farm which was transformed into a bogus hideout for terrorists.

Eagles Resolve 2017, which started on March 21, involved Kuwaiti, GCC and American troops and personnel. The drills, first launched in Bahrain in 1999, are expected to end by April 6.
