Drug Baron Caught With 63 Kilos Of Hashish, Shabu Hidden In Hole
Narcotic officers from the General Department of Drug Control arrested a drug baron in possession of 63 kilograms of hashish and shabu, which he carefully kept hidden in a hole at a livestock pen in Kabd area.
The Department of Public Relations and Security Media at Ministry of Interior stated that undercover agents kept tab on the activities of the suspect concerning domestic drug trade and gathered enough evidence in that regard. He was busted while visiting the area to retrieve the drugs for sale after the officers had secured a warrant to search the hideout that served as illicit drug storage instead of a livestock pen. He had kept the contraband in two boxes inside the hole, and admitted the offense upon his arrest. He has since been referred to the concerned authority for prosecution.
Meanwhile the Ahmadi police have arrested an unidentified Kuwaiti for possessing drugs, reports Al-Qabas daily. The daily added, the man was arrested in Sabahiya with drugs in his car. Police have confiscated the drugs and the car and referred the man to the General Department for Drugs Control. The daily added, the suspect is also charged with attempting to assault the police when he got angry because he was asked to pull over.
