Moi Continues Withdrawing Thousands Of Driving Licenses From Expatriates During The Renewal
MOI continues withdrawing thousands of driving licenses from expatriates during the renewal and those who have changed their profession and obtained driving licenses in illegal ways.
To Obtain driving license expats:
= Salary requirement of KD 600 instead of KD 400
= Type of profession
= Graduation degree
= Residence in Kuwait for 2 years
Licenses are issued for several exceptions:
= A wife of the Kuwaiti who is a widow or divorced
= A woman who have children
= Drivers, members of nursing bodies, pilots, captains.
= Professional players
The categories excluded from the term of residence :
= General managers
= Assistants
= Accountants
= Students in universities/institutes inside Kuwait
= illegal residents (Bedoon) holding valid security cards
The categories excluded from the term of residence and Salary requirement:
Judges, prosecutors, consultants, experts, faculty members of universities, journalists, doctors, pharmacists, engineers, teachers, social workers, researchers, mosque imams and sports trainers.
