Dr Mohammad Al-jarallah Visits Philippines
Consultant of Bariatric and Gastrointestinal Surgery Dr. Mohammad Al-Jarallah affirmed that his recent visit to the Philippines with Dr. Ali Zadah was successful.
He said the visit was part of the efforts exerted to develop cooperation between private medical sectors of both Kuwait and the Philippines. He revealed that talks with Presidential Advisor Abdullah Mamao were aimed at enhancing the relations between the private medical sectors of the two countries, affirming the keenness of Mamao to support such relations. In a press conference organized by Dr. Al-Jarallah after returning from the Philippines, he explained that the discussions during his meeting with the Philippines’ Minister of Health Francisco T. Duque III was focused on developing health-related relations without limiting them to nursing and support medical professions.
They also discussed the medical strategy in the Philippines which has started achieving outstanding leaps in various medical aspects as well as led to the establishment of international centers for kidney, heart and respiratory system.
Dr. Al-Jarallah said his meeting with the Philippines’ Minister of Labor Silvestre Bello III dealt with ways to facilitate the hiring of efficient medical experts of various specializations to Kuwait and removing the obstacles that might surface, adding that the minister praised the visit of the Kuwaiti delegation. He revealed that he also held a meeting with the officials of Philippine Accrediting Association of Schools, Colleges and Universities (PAASCU) during which they discussed the need to open new horizons by providing scientific documents required for authorizing the universities in the Philippines which have obtained academic accreditation from American and European institutions approved by Kuwait and other Gulf countries. Dr. Al-Jarallah explained that they visited major private hospitals that have obtained international accreditation, and toured different departments in those hospitals where they noticed the high level of advancement in terms of the equipment and systems that are in line with those available in the USA and Europe.
He praised St. Luke’s Hospital, Manila Hospital and Makati Hospital, recommending them as destinations for overseas medical treatment along with other hospitals
