Door Opens For Engineers To Work As Teachers In Govt Schools

The President of the Kuwait Society of Engineers (KSE), Eng. Faisal Duwaih Al-Atl, stated the Society has agreed with the Ministry of Education (MoE) on a mechanism to open the door to employment for engineers wishing to work as teachers in government schools.

Sources told Al-Jarida a meeting was held at the Ministry’s headquarters on Dec 20, in the presence of both the Society’s Secretary, Eng. Fahd Ardini Al-Otaibi and mentor Ms. Mona Al-Ansari, the Director of the Coordination Department, Ms. Hamida Al-Qallaf, and the Budget Controller, Falah Al-Dhafiri, to discuss the mechanisms for implement the society’s initiative presented earlier.

Al-Atl stressed the society is keen to make this experiment a success and cooperate with the Civil Service Commission and the Ministry of Education. The agreed mechanism corresponds to the requirements of the Ministry and the CSC that calls for training for about a month and hire them at the end of training period.

Al-Atl added the engineers will be hired in five disciplines to work as secondary school teachers — computer, chemistry, physics, geology and electricity and their remunerations will be equal to teachers’
