Door Of Grievance Open To Those Who Passed Exam
Legal sources confirmed that the ‘door of grievance’ is open to candidates who have passed the exam and have been excluded from working public prosecutors in the Public Prosecution, while deputies have reacted to the issue raised by the Al-Rai daily and stressed the need to redress the deserving candidates, reports the daily.
The legal sources said there are two ways out of the difficult situation – the first is to submit a grievance letter to the Judicial Council, or to submit a letter to the Minister of Justice, Minister of State for National Assembly Affairs Fahad Al-Afasi, who will refer it to the Judicial Council.
Commenting on the work of the Judicial Committee tasked with studying the grievances, the sources explained the mechanism of acceptance depends on the evaluation by the committee which is done according to two orders – 50 points for the written test and 50 points for the oral test. The candidate is supposed to get 75 points out of 100 in the two tests to be accepted, so the success of one of the applicants in the two tests by obtaining more than 25 points in each does not mean acceptance directly, because what is required is to obtain 75 points, not only 26 points in each of the two tests.
According to the sources, historically no grievance has been accepted by the Judicial Council, but some cases have resorted to the judiciary after rejecting their grievances.
