Domestic Worker Crisis Is Likely To Worsen In Ramadan

Kuwait faces new problems in recruiting domestic workers because of the new requirements imposed by the Philippines and the domestic worker crisis is likely to worsen in Ramadan, Al Qabas daily reported.

The latest conditions set by the Philippines are its request to Kuwaiti offices to put in place insurance of an estimated amount of $ 10,000 to guarantee the rights of the workers returning to Kuwait.

According to the head of the Federation of Domestic Workers Recruitment Agencies Khaled Al-Dakhnan in a press conference revealed that the Kuwaiti recruitment agencies rejected the new insurance requirement requested by the “Philippines” as it will contribute to more losses for citizens and offices.
