Diplomats To Be Vaccinated Soon

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs, through protocol affairs, informed all diplomatic missions and international and regional organizations accredited to Kuwait that it is preparing to vaccinate heads and members of diplomatic missions and their families, Arabic daily Al Rai reported.

In a memorandum sent to all missions, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs requested that they provide them with the names of heads and members of missions and their family members (those over 16 years old only for those who hold a diplomatic identity and over 21 for those without a diplomatic identity), including their relationship with each of them (those wishing to receive the vaccine).

Meanwhile the Director of Funeral Affairs at Kuwait Municipality, Dr Faisal Al-Awadhi, announced the approval of the vaccination for expatriate employees in the administration, as they work to serve the dead.

Al-Awadhi told Al-Rai that 264 employees names have been provided in a list of employees as grave diggers and cemetery staff out of 900 (Kuwaiti and non-Kuwaiti) employees.

In addition, a responsible source in the municipality revealed to Al-Rai that the municipality is in the process of preparing lists of the names of the 11,000 (cleaners) whose names are listed in all cleaning contracts, stressing that “the municipality is fully prepared to guide companies about the mechanism for registering their workers.
