Dgca On The Threshold Of Implementing 14 Projects Worth $8.2 Billion Between 2021 And 2041
The Directorate-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) revealed 14 projects worth $8.2 billion are being implemented by the country to develop Kuwait International Airport, as part of the civil aviation’s vision and strategy from 2021 to 2041 to transform Kuwait into an active regional center for air transport, passengers and cargo.
DGCA has issued a statement, a copy of which has been obtained by Al-Anba that the largest development project is the $5 billion new passenger building terminal project T2, which aims to accommodate 25 million passengers annually, according to the best international standards.

The statement said the new terminal building project T4, designed to accommodate 5.4 million passengers, is worth $187 million and the Kuwait Cargo City project $120 million, the operation and management of the new terminal building T2 worth $950 million, the Air Navigation Project and the development of its services $83 million, the third runway and control tower $600 million, and the new runway with a capacity of 650,000 annual flights 667 million dollars
The statement explained the general aviation building allocated for businessmen is worth 40 million dollars, and the project for securing ground handling services 83 million dollars, and there are 13 projects to develop navigation and meteorological systems at the airport worth $273 million, and a project to establish gas stations and support services at the airport with a value of 75 million dollars.
The aircraft catering building is worth $80 million, the aircraft maintenance building is worth $45 million, and the security services project is worth $15 million.
