Development Plan Projects Are Delayed In 69% Of Cases

According to a government analysis, nearly 69 percent of government development programs are behind schedule. According to the daily, the plan's follow-up report for the third quarter of fiscal 2021-2022 shows that 90 projects have gone behind schedule out of a total of 131 projects, while just 38 projects are on track, and three projects are ahead of schedule.

According to a local Arabic newspaper, the report contains a comparison of the level of compatibility with the schedules of the project plan for the third quarter in the previous three years.

The delay rate grew from 49% in the third quarter of 2019-2020 to 61 percent in the third quarter of 2020-2021, and then to 69% in the third quarter of 2021-2022, according to the comparison.

Despite the delays, 50 percent of the plan's projects are still in the execution phase, 39% are in the planning phase, 5% have not yet begun, 4% are in the delivery phase, and 2% have been finished, according to the study.
