Deportation For 26 Expats For Violating Residency Laws

A number of fishermen were arrested for sleeping in boats and fishing vessels during a campaign organized by the Ministry of Interior (MOI) at the Souk Sharq.

The head of the Joint Committee team, Muhammad Al-Dhafiri revealed to Al Rai daily that legal action would be taken against those expats who do not have the valid documents related to the fishermen profession.  A total of 26 workers were arrested in Nuqat Shamlan and will be deported from the country for violating residency laws. Around 175 fishermen were arrested and taken to various police stations of the Capital Governorate
