Department Of Hygiene Control Conducted Inspection To Explore Hygienic Conditions Of Machines
Director of Public Hygiene and Road Works at the Hawalli Branch of Kuwait Municipality Engineer Saad Al-Jalawi said the Department of Hygiene Control conducted a field inspection to explore the hygienic conditions of machines and equipment used by the municipality’s contracting companies, reports Al-Seyassah daily.
The tour intended to check the companies’ readiness to kick-start the campaign to improve and upgrade hygienic standards and to curb the phenomenon of widespread “unlicensed bakalas”, abandoned cars and vehicles displayed for sale in public areas.
It also aimed to control the rate of violating municipal laws and regulations through the enforcement ministerial decision No.190/2008. Engineer Al-Jalawi noted the department assessed cleanliness of the machinery and equipment. It also checked the availability of machinery, metal garbage bins and fixed baskets over and above the number of workers supplied under the contracts.
About 126 machinery comprising hydraulic compressors, automatic sweepers, tippers, and water tankers were inspected, besides checking the availability of 600 metal garbage bins and supply of 500 cleaning workers.
