Decision To Transfer 587 Staff
In a surprising move, Assistant Undersecretary for Planning and Development at the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Daoud Al-Asousi recently issued a decision to transfer 587 financial and legal staff in the governorates to the ministry without asking them, reports Al-Anba daily. The decision includes stopping the disbursement of bonus for Kuwaitis working on mobile screens and for workers in remote areas as of Jan 2
0. In the meantime, the Execution Department in the Ministry of Justice has asked the Council of Ministers to increase the number of workers in the Courts Sector and its affiliates in all governorates to 100 percent in order to ensure the completion of transactions and to better serve the public, reports Al-Qabas daily.
The daily obtained a copy of the department’s letter to the council, in which it affirmed its strict compliance with health regulations. In addition, a government source confirmed to the daily that the decision to reduce the working hours also gives any government agency the right to not reduce the number of employees according to the nature of its work; such as the firefighting force, army, health and others. He pointed out that government agencies are coordinating with the Civil Service Commission (CSC) to adopt what they deem appropriate with regard to the attendance of their employees in a manner that accommodates all visitors and facilitates the completion of transactions.
