Decision To Allow Establishment Of Coop Branches Near Camping Site

Following the approval given by the Council of Ministers to allow the start of the annual camping season for the current year, the Al-Jarida daily has learned that the Ministry of Social Affairs, represented by the cooperatives sector, is studying the possibility of organizing a lottery system, in coordination with the Kuwait Municipality, in which all cooperative societies wishing to establish temporary cooperative markets near the camping sites can take part.

According to the ministry sources the aim of this is to prevent the monopoly of some cooperatives and to make room for all cooperatives to establish branches, pointing out that the ministry had recently addressed the Federation of Cooperative Societies, in this regard which in turn was to inform all cooperative societies about this decision.
