Death Of 5 Year Old Girl Not Caused By Medical Error

Minister of Health Dr Bassel Al-Sabah said the investigation committee that was formed to look into the death of the 5-year-old girl Hajar Al-Mutairi concluded that the death was not caused by medical error, reports Al-Rai daily.

The minister in response to a parliamentary query raised by MP Riyadh Al-Adsani said, “In order to ensure transparency and impartiality, the issue was referred to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to take necessary measures against people in case they were reported negligent, especially since the father of the deceased had submitted a complaint to the General Department of Investigations, claiming the girl died due to medical error.” Hajar Al-Mutairi was injured in a traffic accident and taken to the Adan hospital on March 27. After her death, the ministry opened an investigation into an alleged medical error
