Daughter Tortured To Death

The Criminal Court has set Nov 20 to issue a verdict in the case of parents who allegedly tortured their daughter to death, reports Al-Anba daily. Earlier it was reported that a 26-yearold Kuwaiti tortured his four-year-old daughter to death and kept the body in a freezer to conceal the crime.

The corpse remained in the newly bought freezer for one week before the parents (the main suspect and his wife) were arrested. A security source said acting on a tipoff that the Kuwaiti had killed his toddler daughter police got a warrant issued by the Public Prosecution and raided the main suspect’s apartment in Hawalli and took him into custody.

During interrogation he admitted to committing the crime and said his 23-year-old wife was partner in the crime. It was reported the murder was committed when they were intoxicated.

According to investigations the suspect wrapped his daughter’s body in a shroud and kept it inside the freezer. A Forensic report showed traces of burns on the shoulders and feet, indicating she was tortured to death. It also said the parents neglected the welfare of their four children, while the father was sacked from his job in a private company due to misconduct.
