Dangers Of Electronic Fraud Require Continued Banking Awareness: Dr Al-hashel
The Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait, Dr. Muhammad Al-Hashel, said Tuesday, the tremendous development of banking services and the accompanied risks, most notably electronic fraud and the diversity of its methods, call for continuous approach of banking awareness.
In his speech during a ceremony to honor employees of the banking system units, Al-Hashel said their efforts in the area of banking awareness campaign (Let us be Aware) the Central Bank did not spare any effort to spread banking awareness to protect the rights of customers.
He praised the role of the banking system units to communicate with customers through their electronic channels and social media platforms.
He explained the campaign contributed to providing suitable services for all segments of customers, with the aim of contributing to the dissemination of campaign materials on the wider scale to raise awareness among the public about financial and banking culture topics.
He says the concerted efforts during the campaign were the most successful and contributed to its spread to the widest segment of Kuwaiti banking sector clients.
The Al-Qabas daily quoting Dr Al-Hashel pointed out the campaign ‘Let’s Be Aware’ was launched on Jan 26, 2021, to spread the financial culture to the widest segment of society and raising awareness among the public about the role of the banking sector and how to optimally benefit from the various services provided by banks.
