Customs Seizes 30 Tons Of Tobacco Hidden In Sanitary Ware At Shuwaikh Port

The men of the Inspection and Depository Control – Bait Al-Mal Goods Section at Shuwaikh Port Customs were able to seize about 30 tons of tobacco, which is prohibited from importing, which were found in two containers that were coming from Jebel Ali Port, and they had been in the port for 90 days.

The Public Relations Department of Customs indicated that, according to customs laws and regulations, the leftover containers are withdrawn, inspected, and transferred to the Bait Al-Mal or the destruction committee by the inspectors in the event of prohibited or non-conforming goods. Jebel Ali Port, and they contain sanitary ware according to the documents attached to them, and when they were inspected by the men of the Inspection and Depository Control – Bait Al-Mal Goods Department, about 580,000 bags of tobacco – (a better brand) – prohibited to be imported by the Ministries of Commerce and health, with approximately 30 tons, and accordingly the necessary measures were taken.
