Customs Process Kd 39.8 Million Worth Of Automated Transactions Over The Past Three Months

Kuwait’s General Administration of Customs processed KD 39.8 million US$ 127 million worth of automated transactions over the past three months, the Administration’s Director General said Friday.

Jamal Al-Jalawi, in a statement, said the Administration witnessed a transformation where papers were finished online, which has positive impact on the security and economic sectors amidst the coronavirus pandemic. This transformation, he added, was in line with the New Kuwait Vision 2035. The Administration is connected with many government departments, said Al-Jalawi, which contributed to improving risk management and clearance. Al-Jalawi said more than 37,000 automated transactions worth KD 39.8 million took place between March 15 and May 10.
