Curfew Period Is Subject To Changes

The Prime Minister, His Highness Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled, will hold a meeting today with all government agencies to discuss the details of the curfew, which is starting this evening, Sunday, high-level government sources revealed to Al-Qabas daily.

The sources said that the meeting will discuss all the authorities’ issues regarding the curfew, in addition to Al-Khaled’s emphasis on cooperation and non-complacency for the success of the curfew and reaching the goal for which it was approved.

The daily mentioned that the one month duration set for the ban can be canceled whenever the health situation in the country stabilizes without a requirement to complete it, but it is expected the results will not appear quickly and there needs to sometime allowed to achieve its goals. The meeting will be held between government agencies next Tuesday to discuss all the mechanisms, demands and obstacles that it faces in implementing the curfew.

In a related development, the sources confirmed that the Public Health Ministry is studying the current health airport situation and the risk level in the event that it is opened more broadly.

It indicated that the airport is subject to an integrated scientific evaluation, which will provide answers after a review of its opening that may prompt some cancelations of some decisions in the future, including quarantine condition for some groups.

Regarding the restaurants delivering during the curfew, the sources confirmed that the Council of Ministers will discuss this issue and is likely to make some changes regarding it.

On the other hand, the Assistant Undersecretary for Public Health, Dr. Buthaina Al-Mudhaf, that the technical committees in the ministry are currently studying the exemption for receiving the anti-coronavirus vaccine from the institutional quarantine period imposed on travelers returning from abroad and sufficiency of home quarantine.
