Csc To Start Government Training Center To Block "parachute Appointments"
The Civil Service Commission's proposal to build a government training center, which is currently being finalized, intersects positively with the government's intention because one of the center's goals is to eliminate parachute appointments.
The Council of Ministers announced in a statement that the CSC proposal to establish a "Government Training and Testing Center" has been referred to the Legal Affairs Committee to develop a mechanism for its implementation, according to a government source.
According to the source, the center "is seen as the first step toward attaining administrative development, increasing the efficiency of public sector production, and ensuring equitable opportunity for all personnel."
According to the source, the follow-up of the concerned government institutions will run a check on the candidates nominated to take up jobs in order to eliminate the wasta phenomenon, which has succeeded in pushing the principle of equal opportunities and competitiveness among employees to the backburner and stressed the importance of ridding society of such phenomena.
According to the basis, the CSC began preparing an integrated proposal for the establishment of a training and rehabilitation center for the public service at all levels about a year ago, in order to upgrade the service, which relies on the application of the idea of tests after training to be a detailed criterion in nomination and appointment, and that the proposal has the Council of Ministers' support.
According to the plan for its construction, the center specializes in training, qualifying, and testing for appointments to public jobs, supervisory roles, and senior positions, according to the source. The differentiation is created on the basis of examinations that will be developed based on specialist committees in the various administrative and technical domains, and after passing the courses.
The following are 5 reasons why the center should be formed:
1 – No more parachute appointmentsÂ
1 – No more parachute appointmentsÂ
3 – Ensure that all employees have equal chances
4 – Ensure that they are qualified
5 – Overcoming the problem of candidates being promoted while failing tests
