Csc Launches Automated System To Get Certificates
The Civil Service Commission (CSC) has launched automated service machines in five governmental bodies in booths where the issuance of various certificates containing required signatures and stamps will be facilitated, and charges of services can be paid immediately via the machines, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Assistant Undersecretary for Information Systems at CSC Sabika Al-Waqyan explained that these smart booths will also allow employees to log into the system to view information related to their career such as attendance record, career progression and others. Such booths will soon be installed in bodies affiliated to CSC.
According to a number of sources, all bodies, as part of the annual developmental plans, are bound by the automated machines which are provided for public service based on the national e-government project.
They explained that the focus of effective governance is part of the developmental plan, which includes the e-government project. The total number of these projects are 14, and all of them are developmental projects. A total of 12 bodies are participating with one project each, except for Ministry of Justice and the Central Statistical Bureau, which have two projects each.
Based on the follow-up report of the first quarter of the year, the total number of investments in these projects reached KD 8.5 million. Such projects account for 88 percent of the total allocated budget on basis of effective government management.
