The CSC made the announcement days after it informed the government agencies about the specializations of those on the job waiting list. It also asked these entities to update their manpower needs and provide jobs for the new batch of applicants. According to sources, the CSC contacted the government agencies even if these agencies are linked to the commission’s central recruitment system and have access to the page showing those who registered in the system, along with their specializations. Sources pointed out the CSC took this initiative in a bid to speed up the process of finding jobs for these citizens. Sources said the unemployment crisis will be solved only through the coordinated efforts of all concerned parties including CSC and the Manpower and Government Restructuring Program (MGRP) among others.

Sources added the formation of a committee for central employment in the public and private sectors is necessary for creating job opportunities for citizens with various academic qualifications, as the recruitment process is no longer limited to entities under the CSC. Sources disclosed some unemployed citizens registered in the central employment system have specializations needed in the private sector or government agencies outside the CSC’s system; hence, the inclusion of other authorities in charge of recruitment will be in the interest of citizens who are looking for jobs.
